I am an electrical engineer working with Altalink Management Inc. managing electrical transmission projects in Alberta. Some of my off work activities include participation in some committees and professional societies. For more information please browse my resume. I am also a part-time student in business administration studying for an MBA. All my post-secondary education is from the University of Regina, Canada. My secondary and pre-secondary education was done at Evan Hardy Collegiate, Saskatoon, Canada, Talimulislam College and Nusrat Jehan Academy, Rabwah, Pakistan. By the grace of God, I am happily married to a wonderful beautiful girl, Zahra Upal, who is very intelligent, thoughtful and simply an amazing person to be with. I love her sparkling green eyes and her lovely smile. On top of being all that she's also an excellent cook; she makes the tastiest cheesecakes and apple pies! She can cook succulent Pakistani cuisine and also Western foods. She's a full time student at the University of Calgary. I enjoy almost all sports, however you are likely to catch me playing soccer, tennis, ping pong, swimming or working out. I enjoy sketching, photography, digital imagery and web design. I am fond of traveling, hiking and rock climbing. I also enjoy conversations about interesting topics while sipping on a warm cup of tea.
This website started in 1996
when I was an engineering student. Its main purpose at the time was simply
to prove that I could do it too - make a website that is. So one cold day
in March 1996, during my midterm exams when I was supposed to be studying,
I spent the night in a computer lab making my very first website. Since
then this website has gone through a number of transformations and moved
to a few different locations making its permanent home at its present
location at upal.ca. |
